The Rotaract Club of Accra-East Legon, in partnership with the Rotaract Clubs of Accra-East and Kumasi, successfully held the second edition of its flagship health outreach program, My Health. My Life 2.0, on Saturday, 24th May 2025, at the La Bawaleshie Chief’s Palace.
Starting promptly at 10:00 AM, the event brought together health professionals, volunteers, community elders, and over 250 residents of La Bawaleshie and surrounding areas for a day dedicated to wellness, prevention, and care. The outreach provided free medical screenings, wellness consultations, and access to vital medications at no cost to beneficiaries.
A Vision for Healthier Communities

“At the heart of ‘My Health. My Life.’ is a belief that access to basic healthcare is not a luxury, but a right. We are humbled to serve this community, and we extend our deepest gratitude to all our partners and sponsors who made today possible,” he said.

Community Response
The screening drew commendation from the local chief and community elders, who expressed their gratitude for the club’s selfless gesture. Many described it as “timely” and “life-saving,” especially in a period when many struggle with access to basic healthcare services.
“These are the kinds of initiatives our community needs,” said one elder. “We are grateful to the Rotaract Club and all its partners for thinking about the health of our people.”
