The Rotaract Club of Accra East Legon (RoCAEL) has emerged as the most decorated club at the 2025 District Leadership and Awards Conference (DLAC), clinching a total of seven prestigious awards and cementing its place as the biggest Rotaract club in Ghana.

This milestone comes in the club’s fifth anniversary year—a remarkable journey of growth, service, and leadership since its inception in 2019. Despite being one of the youngest clubs in the country, RoCAEL now proudly rubs shoulders with some of the oldest and most established Rotaract clubs in Ghana and beyond.

At DLAC 2025, RoCAEL was honored with:

  • Club with the Highest Attendance at DLAC – Out of a total of 156 delegates from over 50 clubs across the district, RoCAEL stood out with a strong presence of 10 members, demonstrating its commitment to participation and district engagement.
  • Club with the Most Members for Quarters 2 & 3

These accolades are a testament to the club’s unwavering commitment to membership engagement and visibility across district programs.

Earlier, at the Rotaract Ball (RoTA Ball) marking the close of the 2023/2024 Rotaract Year, RoCAEL also bagged three top awards:

  • Club with the Highest Number in the District
  • Club with the Highest Number in Rotary International
  • One of the Three Best Clubs in the District

These achievements highlight the rapid and consistent strides RoCAEL has made in both impact and influence within a short span.

A key highlight of DLAC 2025 was the recognition of Prinxesse Alice Edem Amenyovo, a devoted member and the current Sergeant-at-Arms of RoCAEL. Her outstanding service at both the club and district levels earned her multiple individual honors:

  • Most Outstanding District Committee Member
  • For Being a Supportive Member
  • For Serving as a Facilitator at the Business Leadership Bootcamp
  • Outstanding DLAC Participant
  • For Facilitating at the Vocational Training and Skills Acquisition Project

Prinxesse Alice also served as a member of the DLAC Champions Committee, a role she carried out with dedication and distinction.

The resounding success of RoCAEL at DLAC 2025 not only reflects the club’s vibrant membership and innovative programming but also its deep-rooted commitment to leadership, professional development, and community service. As the club celebrates five years of impact, its sights are clearly set on greater heights in the years to come.
