On a vibrant Saturday afternoon, the Rotaract Club of Accra East Legon gathered in high spirits to mark a momentous occasion its annual Handover and Induction Ceremony. The event, held on [insert date], brought together members, past leaders, guests, and friends of the club to witness the symbolic and administrative transfer of leadership from the outgoing board to a newly elected team poised to carry the club into the 2025/2026 Rotary year.

Reflecting on a Year of Impact

Outgoing President RP Divine Mawuena gave a moving account of the club’s journey over the past Rotary year. Under their leadership, the club had achieved significant milestones: from impactful community service projects to vibrant fellowship activities and meaningful collaborations with other Rotaract and Rotary clubs. The President praised the commitment of the board and general membership, describing them as the engine behind the year’s successes.

”I am proud of what we’ve achieved together. We served, we grew, and most importantly, we did it as a united family,” Divine Mawuena remarked.

As he prepared to pass the baton, the outgoing President offered words of encouragement and advice to the incoming board:

”Maintain your interest. Let your passion for service and leadership fuel your journey. Collaborate because no leader thrives in isolation. And above all, unite the club. It is our unity that gives us strength, identity, and longevity.”

Welcoming the New Leadership

Incoming President, PE Shafeeq Odoi Nsiah  accepted the mantle of leadership with humility and enthusiasm. In their inaugural address, Shafeeq Odoi Nsiah shared a bold vision for the year ahead one anchored on continuity, innovation, member development, and deepened community engagement.

“This new board is ready to serve with commitment, transparency, and creativity. We will build on the foundation laid before us, while also embracing fresh ideas that keep our club dynamic and forward-looking,” he said.

The new board members were officially inducted and received warm applause from members and guests. The incoming executives pledged to uphold the values of the club, inspire active participation, and deliver meaningful results throughout the Rotary year.

A Family of Service
